Soon it will fulfill two months since iOS 5 is available to users and from when we do not have an untethered jailbreak solution available. In desperation to make untethered jailbreak or jailbreak for for their own iDevice, some users are willing to buy and download any alleged jailbreak solutions.

Some pay tens of dollars on solutions that do not work, while others get all kinds of dubious sites of some false “jailbreak teams” and download programs that infect computers with malware, keyloggers, viruses, etc…

If you start to download jailbreak solutions that you not have heard then think well before you run this program on your computer. If you do not have antivirus or you have a weak antivirus it might to wake up with a infected computer by a malware that might steal personal data and could send them to the server of some hackers.

This kind of practice is for several years on the internet and not infrequently there were users who complained that their computers infected with viruses or malware after they have used.

A few weeks ago Motorola has won in a German court a decision that may prohibit the iDevice’s sales in Europe. Well today was given a decision in respect of that application by Motorola and unfortunately the company Apple could be forced to halt sales of iDevices in Europe. Motorola claims that Apple violated two patents for 3G telecommunications standard, and virtually any iPhone or iPhone 3G tablet can be removed from the market.

Basically Motorola won the process thanks to this patent: 1010336 (B1) which is strongly related to this General Packet Radio Service (GPRS). Motorola’s victory gives them the opportunity to prohibit the Apple branch in Ireland, through that has sold iDevices in Europe, to sell iPhone/iPhone 3G in Europe. This decision is a preliminary but can be imposed by Motorola that has filed a bail of 100 million euro in the event that Apple will get a suspension of it.

Apple will certainly appeal against the decision but no one can say if can manage to postpone or ban that Motorola may impose. Apple has of course the option to change the iDevices so they do not infringe the patent of Motorola but this option could be extremely costly. Finally we will see in the coming days that will make those decisions at Apple, but the situation is far from good.

Although the most analysts expect that Apple to come on the market with the first tablet equipped with Retina Display, those from Samsung might launch in February a tablet is equipped with a screen resolution of 2560×1600. Of course they will be able to name the Retina screen display that Apple has registered the name as a brand but if Apple will not be able to bring product to market ahead of the Samsung believe will have a lot to lose.

Leaving aside the primacy, it seems that Samsung would have it ready for a dual-core tablet that has a frequency of 2 GHz and not a quad-core as everyone expected. About the Apple tablet we don’t know only that you have an A6 processor but unfortunately we do not know what Apple will include it.

If we have a noteworthy display resolution then is expected to launch a quad-core processor to support it but would not be possible that Apple to include a faster dual-core processor and more efficiently managing energy. I hope that in the end users have to win no matter which of the two companies launched the first product of any kind.

Many of today’s owners of iDevices expect the launch of an iPhone to come equipped with a 4 inch screen and an even better resolution and Apple seems to be interested to bring it. According to a German blog has the power of Apple engineer, the company is testing the video card drivers that should support resolutions: 960×640, 1280×720 and 1440 x 800 in iPhones. First resolutions we have it in the Retina Display but the other two are far from being able called “retina” by today’s standards and would bring many headaches for developers of applications.

According to the report, Apple is testing two sets of seven drivers each targeting either dual-core or quad-core chips. Within each set, Apple is said to be testing four drivers targeting the current 960 x 640 display size, two targeting 1280 x 720 displays and one targeting 1440 x 800 displays.

According to “Apple engineer“, the company tests every 4 sets of drivers for these resolutions and it looks like dual/quad-core processors are used to them. Yes, you read well, it seems that Apple would test the quad-core with its iPhones, which is very credible given that the first tablets with this kind of processors are starting to appear on the market. Honestly the resolution of 1280×720 and 1440×800 would very much platform fragmentation iPhone/iPod Touch if Apple would find a way to scale applications and they may end up with Android’s.

Apple boasts that from several years made devices which screens are treated with an oleophobic coating that prevents the formation of so-called traces of grease during use. Well Apple has a really smart marketing team that at practice does not handle very well because everything they say is nothing more than a big lie. To solve this problem a team of German researchers has managed to use candles to make screens more “resistant” to fingerprints.

By holding a glass slide over a candle, the scientists were able to deposit spheres of black soot 30 to 40 nanometers in diameter on its surface, creating the precise kind of texture that would repel oil. While it’s been known what kind of surface roughness would be necessary for oil-repellency, creating it had previously proven difficult.

The German researchers were able to make a layer consisting of silica and soot called “superamphiphobic” which apparently would protect the screens against water and oil. Of course it is not known how well this system works so far as official tests were not performed but I am reluctant about its usefulness. So far no manufacturer has failed to launch a mobile device whose screen is “resistant” to fingerprints and I do not think we will see such a device in the near future.
