In Germany, Apple a few weeks ago filed a new lawsuit against Motorola and it seems that the judges were inclined to give in favor of the company in Cupertino. A related patent of the UI interface application that displays the galleries with pictures of a smartphone seems to be based on technology that Apple could gain the Motorola but could quickly solve the problems with Android. A few days ago there was a preliminary hearing in this process and give judges inclined to gain because of Apple but a final decision will be made only on 16 February.

The ongoing smartphone patent war continues to be a war of attrition in which no decisive “knockout” blow is likely in the very near term, but Apple is making ever more progress forcing its competitors to modify their products in order to work around some of Apple’s original ideas, which is what Steve Jobs wanted them to do.

We must not forget that Motorola has the power to ban imports of Apple products in Europe thanks to a court decision obtained in Germany. So far people seem determined to Motorola to take such a radical decision, but if Apple will continue to harass them in the courts from U.S. and Europe may witness the first decision to ban the import of Apple products in Europe.

Probably is not a surprise that Apple has from a few years the most loyal users and everything is due to products developed by the company. This year GFK conducted a survey among iDevice owners and found that on average of 84% from iPhone owners remain loyal to the Cupertino Company while only 60% of Android owners will buy such a device. The difference shows how much they “love” the iPhone owners their devices and the good experience that they have with the devices that they use daily.

Some 84 percent of iPhone users said they would pick iPhone also when they replace their cellphone, while 60 percent of consumers who use smartphones running Google’s Android said they would stick with phones using the same software.

If we talk about Nokia or RIM, the figures are much lower, a sign that for Apple consumers remains the best choice although the operating system has many shortcomings and comes with equipped with enough problems. The “freedom” of other operating system attracts few users and those who are now on such a system return to iPhone or change the Android with different operating system, of course, everything happens over long periods of time.

This summer we were “inundated” by rumors that indicate that the new iPhone will be called iPhone 5, will be thinner, and will have a 4-inch screen, capacitive button and aluminum housing. In reality only the iPhone 4S was launched on the market but iPhone 5 exist and still exist as a prototype that has been tested by some Apple employees.

Those from BusinessInsider announce now that has information from a person who would have played with the device and it contains all the specifications that have appeared in the form of rumor on the Internet.

Since many of you have been waiting to see that device released by Apple probably will wonder why it took the Cupertino company decided to launch iPhone 4S? Well it seems that Steve Jobs was the man who opposed of this release claiming that the 4 inch screen would lead to a fragmentation of the iDevice’s series launched by the company from Cupertino.

Of course those of BusinessInsider information could not be confirmed by someone within Apple, but the existence of such a prototype is very possible and I say that because Apple tested the iPad tablets with 7 inch screen and various forms of housing.

The iOS 5 of the software company from Cupertino was already installed on 25 million of iDevice’s but some owners of iPad still fail to install the 3G version of the operating system although it is available for more than a week in iTunes.

Moreover, any attempt to restore will lead to inability to stop using the tablet because it remains stuck in Recovery Mode and without SHSH for 4.3.5 does not allow the restore. Those who fail to do restore to iOS 5, or in DFU mode, get an error during the restore process, error apparently is related to damage of internal components of the tablet.

On the Apple discussion forums already three threads discussing this problem: 1, 2, and 3 and yet those who have encountered have contacted Apple and were told that they must change their tablet with a new one. Apple does not seem to have a solution for an error besides the physical change of the tablet so if you are in this situation might not have choice but to send the tablet to guarantee.

Apple officially announced today that no more than 4 million of iPhone 4S devices have been sold to date both by pre-ordering and after the official release in stores. The company claims that over 25 million users have installed on their devices the new iOS 5 and over 20 million users have registered to icloud.

Last year Apple sold 1.7 million iPhone 4 devices in the launch weekend but this year the numbers have doubled in the Cupertino company sold no less than 4 million iPhone 4S devices although initially very few people wanted the new device.

“iPhone 4S is off to a great start with more than four million sold in its first weekend—the most ever for a phone and more than double the iPhone 4 launch during its first three days,” said Philip Schiller”

So far Apple has sold 250 million iDevice’s and if they were all active, 10% of them would have already installed iOS 5. The number of people who use icloud is only of 5 million but less likely in future figures will be equal.

Considering that in just one week Apple sold 4 million of iPhone 4S devices in the coming months the company could sell tens of millions of such devices and would be able to keep the title of largest manufacturer of smartphones to global level.
