NVIDIA launches a new powerful video card for portables. No one suspected anything and is quite frankly ok since the big launch of Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M graphics chip, the GTX 580M is ready to take its place. Once again we were shown live in the century of speed and we can hardly keep up with technology.

The first system that will use the GPU GeForce GTX 580M is the notebook Alienware M18x that offers the opportunity to integrate two GPUs GTX 580M in one system, thus doubling the performance in games, thanks to NVIDIA SLI. In addition, the Alienware m17x system with its unit GeForce GTX 580M will be available with NVIDIA Optimus offering 5 hours of battery autonomy for browsing Facebook and performance of 100 frames per second in the game Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The GPUs GeForce GTX 580M are the fastest GPUs currently compatible with Microsoft DirectX 11 standard, providing Tessellation performance six times higher than any other GPU for notebooks. In addition, they are more efficient due to a 20% increase in performance per watt ratio compared to the previous generation.

NVIDIA announces the launch of GPU NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570M, which provides a performance increase of 20% compared with the previous generation product.
