If you own an iPhone or an Android phone today have you 2.5 times more chances to download malware than eight months ago. The applications  infected with malicious code has increased from 80 to 400 earlier this year informes TG Daily, taking from a study of Lookout Mobile Security company.

Mobile malware has exploded in the first half of the year. The company estimates that 1 million users of smartphones have been exposed to malware in the first months of the year. Unlike PCs and Macs, is more difficult to determine malicious applications from shops. It is recommended that users always be carefully with study the details and information on the application developer that requires access name.

“As mobile devices grow in popularity, the attackers also are becoming more interested. We have seen the spread and evolution of mobile malware attacks in the first six months of 2011. We expect this trend to continue as all more people adopt mobile devices” said CTO’s Lookout mobile Security, Kevin Mahaffey.
