Meizu is a company that many of you have probably heard. He was among one of the first companies in China that have managed to launch, after iPhone fenomen more device (phones, multimedia players, etc) at relatively low prices. Meizu raises now with the release of a truly smartphone, called Meizu MX and can compete side by side with the terminals on the world market.

Meizu MX is a smartphone with a 4-inch screen – 960×640 pixels resolution – dual-core processor at 1.4 GHz (Samsung Exynos 4210), 1GB RAM (LPDDR2) and has 16 GB internal memory storage. Also, as Engadget said, Meizu MX is a slim smartphone with only 10.3 inches thick. Meizu will run Android 2.3.5, but there are some chances that the manufacturer publish shortly after the official launch of January 1, 2012 a firmware update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Meizu MX has a 1600 mAh battery.

The price, it’s probably 470 dollars. It’s interesting that 900 people have been in front of a store in Hong Kong to buy this handset. CEO Jack Wong suggested that a quad-core version of the same phone will most likely be presented in May this year. Meizu MX apparently suffered some changes because he was sent to test sites for tech reviews, and was criticized for lack of a camera, for difficult functionality of hardware buttons, but also to the quality terminal finishes overall. It seems that these problems were resolved before sending phone retailers shelves in China.
