Because phones are becoming more efficient day by day, the damage risk is increasing. If you buy a smartphone (for example an iPhone) you won’t be happy when you’ll see scratches or any other malfunctions such as weak signal, etc.

As long as you will take care of your phone, the chance to fully enjoy it for a long time it’s bigger.

Here are some tips for your phone:

- Do not put your phone in areas with high humidity or dust because these factors can affect the electronic components.

- If your phone has a protection for the screen, do not hesitate to buy and use, especially if you have a touch-screen phone.

If the phone has been dropped in water, follow the next steps:

1. Remove the phone battery

2. In some cases you should put your phone into a bowl of rice for about 24 hours because rice absorbs water very well.

3. If you how to “open” your phone is advisable to proceed in this way so you can dry every component. You should pay a lot attention when you do that, because the pieces can easily broke.

Do not turn on your phone after a contact with liquid. If you do that, the chances that it works again are extremely low.

More and more tweaks have implemented PreferenceLoader plugin that allows users to manage that tweak settings directly from the Settings application of iOS. PreferenceLoader works without problems on iOS 4 but on the iOS 5 unfortunately the tweak is not compatible with this plugin and the developer claims that until the final launch of the new operating system will not solve the compatibility issues.

For those who have Mac OS X there is a relatively simple solution to this problem and I have more detail in the below steps that will help you to make PreferenceLoader compatible with iOS 5.

  • Download for free from the App Store Xcode and the patch for PreferenceLoader.
  • Install Xcode then unzip the patch to your desktop and open the Terminal application in Mac OS X.
  • In the Terminal application, type the command cd location_folder_FilippoBiga-iOS-Utilities-5c70846 2_settings_patcher_osx and press enter.
  • After accessing the folder via the Terminal application type make and press enter.
  • In the folder where you unzipped the patch you will find a new file called settings patch.
  • Now connect to your device using iFunbox/iPhone Explorer or any other utility and copy settings_patcher folder/usr/bin then reset the device.
  • After the reset in Settings menu you should already see the tweak settings menus compatible installed. If you do not see anything then reinstalls the tweaks.

About the problems with Home button of iPhone 4 device you all know so I do not think has got to get back into the details because we have previously discussed about them. I still talk about a very simple procedure that get back to life the Home button and a day passed after I tried it and I noticed that it is successful. The method used by me only involve the devices buttons and is not possible to not ruin the device so it is 100% safe and it is working. Follow the instructions below after completing their Home button should work properly:

  • Unlock it, open an application and hold down the Lock / Power to the screen displays the slider to close the device.
  • This technique makes a recalibration of the Home button and after it carried out everything should work normally without problems.
  • Take the hand from the Lock button, then press lightly the Home button and hold it down for 5-10 seconds until the menu disappears and appears on the screen Springboard.

Unofficially it is the technique for recalibrating the Home button and you can repeat whenever you want because you do not like to mess up the device. In my case the above steps have returned to normal functionality of the Home button and I hope that in the future things will stay on that way. Even in case that the button begins to malfunction after a few days / weeks, you can repeat the procedure to revive him. I hope that techniques will be useful.

For a while there is an option in iTunes that allows users to manage their accounts associated iDevices with an Apple ID that is used with icloud. Option is not for all accounts that have been used with iCloud  but if you have a Apple ID associated with an iTunes  account then open iTunes and go to Store> Sign In and log in with your Apple ID. After you login go to the menu again and then select the View My Account and in the newly opened menu you will see a new entry called iTunes in the iCloud Beta.

This new entry provides information on the number of iDevice associated with your Apple ID used with icloud and ypu have in right the option to Manage Devices that allows register the devices on the account administration. Accessing Manage Devices menu you will see which terminals are associated with Apple ID and you have the option to revoke the device authorization. The Apple ID association is made when an application downloaded from the iTunes from the section Puchased (section where you previously download the applications) or when using the new system Automatic Downloads with your device (the system that automatically downloads to iDevice any application downloaded from iTunes).

In conclusion, the new menu allows you to delete authorizations for iDevice so you do not get in a position in which you can not login with an account on an iDevice. Normally authorization expires in 90 days but now we can delete at any time.
