We all know how important it is to manage our financial resources properly. And as personal Android device is almost always present in the pocket all day, ideally would be to put it to work. We have available an amount of money on store management applications, but most are either too expensive or have a difficult interface.

I found Money Tab in one of my sessions to store searches and it took me about 10 seconds to decide to push the button “Buy”. I knew from the start that we are dealing with a special application. Money Tab amazed me the first time. The interface is designed bright, large buttons, menus easily accessible and a guide welcomes you first start, although it is hard to believe that you can confuse the menus. Begin using the type of success, and then choosing the main categories of expenditure. Each category includes an icon and a simple description and, if necessary, we can easily create their own categories. In the main we have three that we define shortcuts to quickly mark the cost of expenses that repeat frequently. Adding a transaction is very easy, just define the amount displayed by pressing the number buttons, then select the date and we can add an informative note. Then we can create templates for recurring income or monthly bills.

With the “History” menu we see a smooth transaction and in “Statistics” is shown a graph of income and expenses. Get to where we can set preferences menu categories, recurring transactions, currency symbol (not available at the USD but you can choose to not use any), with what day begins the week, etc. The application allows export in CSV (Excel) of all transactions to be viewed on PC.

Money Tab was recently placed on the Store and for this reason is given at much lower price than that which would normally be sold. I recommend to not hesitate!

With the release of Android 4.0, iOS users can no longer boast of supremacy in the appearance and functionality. Many developers have started to adopt the style of Ice Cream Sandwich and transform applications into true splendor. Applications that I will present here you won’t be found in store. At least not yet.

Holo Pad is an application for quick notes. It was designed to be noticed because of its simplicity. You will not find hidden menus, in fact you will not find menus, just the setting that provides updates and a link to the XDA Developers dedicated topic. Since Holo Pad Store is not available, you can update using the dedicated only. Otherwise, you have the button to add a note after you complete the fields you can press back to see the note automatically saved.

Holo Music is an application to acoustic play, with a very attractive interface and options that I would like to see on more such alternatives. Working with the music player is a pleasure, everything is arranged using a system of tabs that you access with ease. The application uses integrated musical effects in Android 4.0 to give a 3D equalizer options and Bass Boost effects. The main screen displays album art in large format and provides quick shortcuts playback modes. Very interesting is the option to share the name of any song you listen through social networking. Settings reveals the power of these applications. We can customize gestures to change tracks and when your screen is turned down, music is automatically stopped. We provide a menu of topics, but they have not been finalized yet. Then we customize the interface and animations, or set the album cover as wallpaper on the main screen.

What security suite you recommend? Ideal security solution must be provided free or at a reasonable price, to have an easy interface, fast scanning, to include firewalls and anti-theft. I noticed two solutions that meet these criteria and I recommend it. Sure, maybe there are others.

Avast! Mobile Security – is by far the solution I recommend it most warmly. Includes all the tools to cover any potential vulnerability. Scanning is fast and the database is updated regularly. For those who have a smartphone at the root, the solution offers a firewall that block internet access to designated applications. For browser we have web shield. Avast! includes the most advanced anti-theft solution with the ability to block or delete any information in the system with a simple SMS. Anti-theft solution is installed as a separate module and has the advantage of not being removed by unauthorized persons. For the best integration and this module takes root. Everything is provided free of charge.

NQ Mobile Security & Antivirus – Another solution which I recommend. Some advanced features require the use of premium services, with payment. The application has an intuitive interface and scans quickly. The database must be updated manually, but are often made updates. There are options for data management plan and includes a firewall for those who root. Privacy Advisor provides information and recommendations on applications permissions.
Anti-theft system is also present, although not as advanced and requires the purchase of premium services. It also provided a function of location of the phone.

How can we avoid using an antivirus? You can easily get rid of any problems reading carefully the permissions field. For example, a card game that never has to access and send SMS. Install applications only from trusted sources. Need for Speed is offered only by EA Games and is not free. Be careful at the applications downloaded from unauthorized sites. You can damage the system beyond repair. Furthermore, a virus can steal the contact from the phonebook and send mail advertising (in the best case). A little vigilance is desirable in any situation.

I think your File Manager is essential, no matter what what platform you choose. Is the application you use most often and which are directly dependent functionality. We all have formed an image of the perfect File Manager. I will begin by sharing mine.

Interface – The first aspect that we considered. It is necessary to include new design elements  to integrate well with other applications in the system. It must be intuitive and the implementation to take place smoothly among directories;
Network – Transfer files between PC and often phone. You need options for LAN/FTP and net storage (Dropbox/Box etc..)
Root – Are the applications that you move them in/System directory. We need to have the possibility to mount the directory as Readable/Writable and set permissions for applications. These advanced options are essential for me and eliminates the need for separate applications.

We tested many file management applications available on the Store. Those who answered my design requirements were having large gaps in other chapters. Until recently chose a compromise solution, choosing ES File Explorer. We did not find anything to complain about this application in the options available in terms of design but the gap was too great.

X-plore File Manager. Those from Lonely Cat Games are known for their data management application available on the Symbian platform. The File Manager search I found the perfect option for Android and I was hooked. Not only network options and meet the requirements of my root, but also interface with two panels for easy action and extensive configuration options,  left a good feeling. There are also shortcomings. The design combines elements of the Ice Cream Sandwich with the Gingerbread and even if they were well structured the unity was missing.  Another minus was the lack of support for Dropbox, although Box Sugarsync were present.

Given the huge potential offered by the X-plore, I did what everyone should do more often: I contacted the developer and I presented my opinion on small gaps. Five days later an update to the application of corrected all my issues were missing. The interface has been completely converted to the new elements present in Ice Cream Sandwich and added support for Dropbox. It was improved and work experience, everything is faster, very smooth, a pleasure.

X-plore File Manager is perfect for me and have to try to convince you. It is a store manager less known, but is offered free and beyond any practicable alternative.

We don’t need to worry about Instagram acquisition by Facebook, because change will not affect users, according to official statements. Once you log in using Instagram account, the range of options will began to expend. We feed our view photos, as I do it using the official application, pictures that we have shared and that we liked. Very attractive is the option to make photo collages, you can rearrange, save and share freely.
