Although the iPad tablet is preparing to enter in the third year of existence, Microsoft is now thinking to port the Microsoft Office suite for iOS platform. Microsoft already has an iPhad version of Office suite but now the application is tested by engineers and is unavailable to the public. The information comes from The Daily newspaper that has managed to talk to a source inside Microsoft revealed plans to release Office suite for iOS.

It’s assumed that both of these would work with Office 365 as well as mobile versions, such as Windows Phone’s Office Hub. Because it would be compatible with these full suites rather than as stand-alone apps, the pricing will most likely be significantly lower than existing Office products.

Besides iOS version, Microsoft is preparing a new version of Mac OS X Lion of Office suite but for now it is not yet know when the new applications will become available. I think that a version for iPhone or iPad suite of Office would be extremely popular in App Store especially because iOS does not have a native method to open any kind of documents. I hope that Microsoft may launch as soon as possible its applications and I hope that they will be available at reasonable prices, lower than those for which we can buy Numbers, iWork, etc…

A week ago we found that iOS 5.1 could bring more functions for Siri personal assistant and with his help we can take pictures, record videos, open applications, but the first beta version of the new operating system does not let you to understand that this thing will take place. In the changelog for iOS 5.1 beta 1 Apple tells developers of iOS applications that are available a new series of APIs that integrate the applications into 3rd party some system functions after dictation of Siri.

A source confirmed to Ars that a handful of the new iOS 5.1 APIs allow developers to specifically handle the response from Siri’s speech-recognition servers. These APIs don’t allow developers to integrate Siri support for controlling an app the way that Apple has with, say, Messages or Reminders. But it does open up the possibility to better handle text dictation input.

Unfortunately Apple does not give us too much in this version of iOS 5.1 beta 1 but that does not mean that Siri functionality will be extended to the official release of iOS 5.1. Apple has a habit to change things in the last minute so maybe two or three beta versions we shall see later really useful features available for Siria and developers.

Lately I heard more and more about the possible launch of a MacBook Air with 15 inch screen and today we have another rumor that seems to certify such a product launch. Of course the information from DigiTimes, the publication which provided the most rumors about the launch of this product.

It seems that in the first part of next year Apple plans to update the current series of MacBook Air implementing probably the new platform Intel Ivy Bridge but this update should bring and model with 15-inch screen model that is tested more than a year by Apple.

Beside the launching of the new model it seems that Apple intended to low the price of the entire MacBook Air series, something hard to imagine from my point of view. Apple has made a goal from keeping the prices at the same value no matter how many times update a number of products and I do not think that in 2012 will bring anything different in this regard.

Of course now we are talking about rumors, rumor that circulating for over a year on the market and have a real basis in the MacBook Air’s prototype with 15-inch screen that apparently must appear on the market in last autumn but for now was not released.

A few months ago Chronic Dev Team boasts the most advanced solution built around untethered jailbreak several exploits found in Apple’s iOS 5. A month and a half after the release of iOS 5, Chronic Dev Team has released this solution, even more still working on it today… and will launch a program to monitor the crash from our iDevice.

Chronic Dev Team will publish today an article on its blog that will explain everything about this new program and will help them to develop faster the jailbreak solution for us but is largely useless. So far nothing is known about the functionality of this new program but we know that untethered jailbreak solution will not be launched today, so do not expect it.

In fact no other pseudo-solutions team jailbreak developer will not release anything and yes, I know that is rumored to launch a possible solution of untethered jailbreak today but that is a great trick and I need to warned you about this kind of tricks. In conclusion, untethered jailbreak will wait a few weeks in the computers of those who develop it.

Probably is not a surprise that Apple has from a few years the most loyal users and everything is due to products developed by the company. This year GFK conducted a survey among iDevice owners and found that on average of 84% from iPhone owners remain loyal to the Cupertino Company while only 60% of Android owners will buy such a device. The difference shows how much they “love” the iPhone owners their devices and the good experience that they have with the devices that they use daily.

Some 84 percent of iPhone users said they would pick iPhone also when they replace their cellphone, while 60 percent of consumers who use smartphones running Google’s Android said they would stick with phones using the same software.

If we talk about Nokia or RIM, the figures are much lower, a sign that for Apple consumers remains the best choice although the operating system has many shortcomings and comes with equipped with enough problems. The “freedom” of other operating system attracts few users and those who are now on such a system return to iPhone or change the Android with different operating system, of course, everything happens over long periods of time.
